The Terlingua Cares fund exists to help

locals when they are struggling

to make ends meet.

We offer small awards to cover immediate

financial obligations so that folks can take

a breather and regroup.

We have learned over the years that a

little bit of money goes a very long way.

 

The organization was started by area musicians years ago. They were playing a gig and decided to give their tips to a local who was struggling financially after a nasty injury. When the audience heard what they were doing, they pitched in too. That evening they raised a lot of money, enough to make a big difference to the local who received it. Thus, Terlingua Cares was born. We continue to assist friends and neighbors, and we continue to do it through music.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Terlingua cares has helped with transportation costs to and from doctor appointments, has bought shoes for kids, paid for medical equipment and supplies, paid to have water lines fixed, paid for wheelchair ramps, motel stays whilst undergoing medical treatment, contributed to assist after fires, put tires on cars so kids can get to school, paid for PO Boxes so folks can get their medications through the mail… and on and on and on.
